Life has a way of changing. The plan we made of exhibiting the Friendship Tapestry in Reykjavik this winter can not be but we definitely plan one for 2010.
The Friendship Tapestry is a project with no boundaries. Today there are 270 participants from 26 countries in five continents in the Friendship Tapestry. Everybody is welcome to participate, we truly welcome all new friends. Each person makes a piece with their favorite needlework method. We tie the pieces together with the knots of friendship and all these pieces link their creators in spirit. By doing this we symbolically connect a net of friendship that covers a large part of our planet.
The Friendship Tapestry has been exhibited three times in Iceland and the USA and is always on display on the website.
The Friendship Tapestry is an ongoing project that will hopefully manage to travel and display the friendship, beauty, love and hope for peace along with the talent and variety in needlework, around the globe.
